Xylo-FUN!
Weekly class
Join us at La Goose on Tuesday afternoons from 5:30pm to 6:30pm. (Classes run in three separate 10 to 12-week sessions each year.)
Repertoire
Learning melodies from around the world, as well as contemporary song forms (12-bar blues, rhythm changes, etc), our modern repertoire keeps everyone engaged.
Rhythm & Note-reading
In addition to learning to play melodies, the students learn to read rhythms in dual and triple meters. Rhythm is central to our learning. After all, the xylophone is a percussion instrument!
Performances
While our focus is on learning for learning’s sake (and not just a final performance), we are of course very happy to show off our newfound skills to parents and community members. If you would like to organize or attend a Xylo-FUN! concert, please contact me via the link below.
